St. Thomas Boutique

St. Thomas Boutique uses digital signage in creative ways to improve the customer experience.
Situation:
With the decision to move the store to the popular Arboretum in Austin, Texas, the owners of St. Thomas Boutique wanted very specific digital signage solutions to make the store unique and improve the customer experience. In addition to traditional wall-mounted LCD displays behind the check-out counter, the owners wanted a 15-foot long video-wall suspended from the ceiling between the fitting rooms. To promote products at night, they wanted a 100-inch display mounted in the front window. To help customers see themselves from all angles when trying on dresses, an interactive mirror was requested.
Solution:
NORVISION designed a complete digital dynamic signage system for St. Thomas consisting of centralized content management, large LCD, plasma and HoloGlass® displays. A store-wide 70-volt audio system was also installed to fill the store with ambient lounge music. High-definition color security cameras with 360-degree views were installed throughout the store.
The Dome: Now, imagine walking under a curved ceiling with high-definition videos of runway models playing across a 60 sq. ft surface area. NORVISION designed a built a 15 x 4-foot curved rear-projected HoloGlass® video-wall which was suspended by 1/16-inch piano wire from the ceiling. The video-wall is updated weekly with videos and graphics provided by the designer. It is a truly unique display and the customers love it.
The Window: In the main store-front window NORVISION installed a 100-inch HoloGlass® display which turns on automatically at sunset. The screen shows graphics and videos of new products, merchandise on sale, specials and featured products.
The Glamour Area: Tired of looking over your shoulder to see how your backside looks in a new dress? We have a solution for that! Just outside the dressing rooms NORVISION designed an interactive mirror to give the shopper the opportunity to see themselves in 360-degrees when trying on a dress. According to the sales people, this is the most popular area in the store and the sales tool is very effective in converting browsers to buyers.
Traditional Displays: Behind the cashier, NORVISION installed three 46-inch LCD video wall with store branding and specials. The average waiting time is less than 5-minutes during the busiest time in the store so the content loop is exactly 5-minutes long and update daily. There is also a screen by the bar-area showing runway shows and the latest designer products.
